Intimate Visions: Photographs by Mayumi Terada

Gallery Camino Real is pleased to announce the first solo exhibition of the photographic work of Mayumi Terada in South Florida.

Terada, a native of Japan, moved to New York City in 2001. It was here she began making miniature models of architectural settings. These “stage sets” represent spare simple interior environments with various portals to the outside, as well as containing familiar domestic objects. Initially the works were photographed to record the work in progress. Ultimately these black and white prints became the final elegant form.
